Slovakia, Bratislava 17.10.2020
The united Slovak hooligans protested on Saturday in front of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic. To them also joined normal people who demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Igor Matovič, and at the same time they protested against the new coronavirus restrictions.
Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic said the country will test everyone from 10 years and older for the coronavirus.
Earlier this month, the Slovak government announced a state of emergency, and this week, introduced new restrictions: including banning churches, mass events, closing fitness centers, swimming pools, and school education at homes.
Prime Minister Matovic also said at a press conference that coronavirus testing would be free, but did not explain whether it would be mandatory or voluntary.
During the demonstration, the police had to use tear gas and water cannons to calm the situation.
